Aore Island Resort Vanuatu
Aore Island Resort is located on Aore Island about a 10 minute boat trip from the central business district of Luganville. There is a flat bottomed ferry that makes the trip several times a day. Even in moderate SE trade winds the channel is protected with very small waves. The resort has three styles of bungalows, Delux Beachfront Bungalows, Standard Beachfront Bungalows, and Delux Garden Bungalows. The standard bungalows are one room with an ensuite bathroom. The Delux bungalows have one bedroom plus a bed in the main room and an ensuite bathroom with an entrance from both the living area and the bedroom. There is a large restaurant/bar/lounge overlooking the water. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Aore Island Resort has a large swimming pool with sundecks, kayaks, and Allen Power Dive Tours picks up divers at the Aore Island Resort wharf. There are walking tracks around Aore Island. It is a very large island mostly covered with coconut trees. Aore Island Resort is popular with cruising sailboats from around the world. The resort has moorings for the visiting boats and during the yachting season (June to November) the yacht owners and crew are often found using the resort facilities.
