Bethel Village Bungalows was built and is run by a local Melanesian family. It is located inland on the eastern coast of the island. The family is religious and has many connections with religious groups that come to Vanuatu from time to time. The resort is built of local materials, the most notable feature being the very large, circular, thatched restaurant with a tree coming right out of the center of the roof.
